K-drama : Fashion 70s

fashion70s

Fashion 70’s focused on the lives of four young people, from their childhood during the Korean War, to their careers and love lives within the booming fashion world of the seventies. When Joon Hee was young, she befriends a little girl called Kang Hee, this two girls always get into trouble because of Kang Hee’s greedy mother. At the same time, Joon Hee also makes friends with two boys, Dong Young, the son of a military general and Jang Bin. But when North Korean forces invade their town, both girls are separated from their parents and Joon Hee’s mother is killed in an explosion. Believing his daughter to have died, Joon Hee’s father adopts Kang Hee and raises her as his own daughter. Joon Hee is discovered at an orphanage by Kang Hee’s mother, and is also adopted. The trauma of the events causes Joon Hee to block out her childhood memories and she grows up on a small island as Doe Mi, unaware of her true identity.

Years pass and their paths cross again, with complicated and destructive results. Doe Mi dreams of becoming a fashion designer, and petty criminal Jang Bin helps her move to Seoul to chase her dream. In the process he falls in love with her, but his feelings are unrequited…

I didn’t finish watching this drama. I watched till epi 10 out of total 16 epi. I just can’t drag myself to continue watching it. Too boring. Maybe when I have no title to watch, I may continue watch it again in slow pace.

Salon and BKK cancelled

Sunday after SSVP meeting, I went for haircut. DH went to CityHall for camera window shopping (yeah…window shopping only :D). About 4pm he met me at the salon and he took this picture. I did my hair maintenance once a year. I was comfortable did my hair in this small salon. And the price also very reasonable.

My hairdresser is Ginbert. He is the owner too. His clients usually are regular upon appointment. I think he is a very good hairdresser….almost brilliant. He didn’t talk much like other hairdresser that would ask you to buy this and that hair product. He usually suggest an easy maintenance hair style. DH was asking me to cut my hair short but Ginbert said short hair is not suitable for me and need regular maintenance. I agreed with him.

DH’s trip to BKK on 27 Nov (tommorrow) has been cancelled due to BKK political situation. There’s supposed to be SSVP Asia Group II Meeting at BKK. I saw the news about BKK riot last nite and suggested DH to called our friend, Beam, whose is working at BKK. Beam email me this morning for the update situation that protesters already take over BKK International airport. And this morning shortly after I received Beam’s email, DH told me that BKK SSVP National Council has posponed the meeting until further notice.

Last week I contacted Sarah and Marissa to have a drama marathon nite at my place since DH was not around I thought. Well….I was relieved that his BKK trip was cancelled, but the drama marathon nite will go on. I have order the DVD and I think the ladies are looking forward to that nite. The last drama marathon nite was a success. Hope the next one will be as well.
